I very glad to announce the official start of the heritage preservation at the Voortrekker Monument with the the great help from ARTEC 3D, the Voortrekker Monument ,amazing wife and father without whom this project would not have been possible.
Please note. All 3D data is the sole property of the Voortrekker Monument.
Starting kicked off by 3D scanning of big relief panels withing the Voortrekker Monument. The panel is about 30 meters long and about 3 meters tall. It took about 4 hours to scan this one panel and about 1 week to get to this stage in regards of post processing.

Below is an live 3D model of the final 3D scan. I had to decrease the resolution to be able to view it as an live 3D model.
When loading give it some time to load the normal map as well to show higher definition of the 3D model.
