I had the great pleasure to create a “modern” old statue from Brett Richard Palframan.
He was gracious enough to pose as the reference for the roman statue.
Below is some of the raw 3D scan data that was used to create the statue.
Below is the 3D model that has been merged, cleaned up and ready to be “broken” into peaces.
A shot of a wire frame of part of the model.
Then the final model.
Below is an live 3D model. Click below to load the live 3D model and then use your mouse to rotate the model.
Then finally. The parts is ready for printing.
The parts is set on the print bed ready for printing. Printing took about 14 hours to print.
Below is a quick photo of some of the parts 1/ 2 way glued and ready for smoothing.
Below is some of the parts ready for smoothing.
And then the parts after smoothing.
The First coat of paint has been applied ready for final painting.
And then after the final painting has been completed it’s ready to meet his “maker”.
Rather a good comparison I would say?
